La cifra, que seg\u00fan el Banco de Guatemala (BANGUAT) represent\u00f3 un incremento del 6.74% en relaci\u00f3n con el 2012, super\u00f3 los c\u00e1lculos de 5.0% de crecimiento previstos por la Junta Monetaria. En el \u00faltimo mes del 2013 las familias guatemaltecas recibieron remesas por US$447.3 millones, US$70.67 millones m\u00e1s que en noviembre del mismo a\u00f1o para un crecimiento del 18.77%. Durante el 2013, octubre fue el mes que mayor ingreso report\u00f3 con US$480 millones, y febrero el menor, con US$351.2 millones. Seg\u00fan <strong>\u00c9dgar Barqu\u00edn<\/strong>, presidente del BANGUAT, las remesas familiares para el 2014 podr\u00edan crecer de 4.0% a 7.0%.
