En el 2012 los ingresos fueron de Q81.3 millones, que a su vez significaron un crecimiento del 8.04% respecto del 2011. Seg\u00fan informaci\u00f3n del Departamento de Comunicaci\u00f3n Social del INGUAT, el crecimiento se logr\u00f3 con la fiscalizaci\u00f3n de hoteles y la mejora en el proceso de registro de empresas en esa entidad. El procedimiento antes tardaba hasta un a\u00f1o y se redujo el tiempo a tres meses, lo cual facilit\u00f3 la inscripci\u00f3n de 229 empresas m\u00e1s relacionadas con el turismo, se explic\u00f3.
