Seg\u00fan la estad\u00edstica, se alcanz\u00f3 1 mill\u00f3n 263 mil 476 TEUs. El organismo de las Naciones Unidas incluyen es su ranquin 120 puertos entre los que apunta que Santo Tom\u00e1s de Castilla (Izabal) alcanz\u00f3 la posici\u00f3n 27 al registrar 525 mil 455 TEU (unidad de medici\u00f3n est\u00e1ndar, equivalente a 6.25 metros) con un crecimiento de variaci\u00f3n interanual del 5%, comparado con los 499 mil 761 del 2013.
